SKOOLZ OUT FOREVER

Driving Factors

NEW FOUND IT SKILLS

Schools went from zero to 100 on digital learning in under a week. Collaborative working, e-meeting, virtual lectures, homework hubs, social time and 1 on 1 care have all been willed into existence. These are skills that schools won’t unlearn.

EXPANDED E-ASSETS LIBRARIES

Schools and parents have been quick to find the virtual libraries and learning assets available to them. Given that they’re available at costs lower than text-books and physical books schools will be looking at subscription models.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Parental involvement shows parents how a “one size fits all” approach fails to work for their child - and start to look for more flexible options. Demand for more tailored tuition sky-rockets as parents become aware of where and how their kids are struggling.

What To Look For

FLIPPED CLASSROOMS

Why have 10,00 mediocre history teachers all talking about the same subject, when you can have one amazing teacher give the lecture - and the others facilitate a discussion? Technology could soon see us looking at the first megastar educators.

APPLE / ANDROID LEARNING

Google Chrome already has a footprint in the classroom, as does iPad. Expect to see a flood of software, libraries and support options coming from both companies - and beyond as China starts to look at the opportunity.

E-TRAINING

Corporates are quick to pick up on the model, moving training online and centralising it, rather than pushing it to local countries. Expect to see greater e-training, rather than just the current suite of compliance software packages.
